Symbiosis Law Admission Test is a private admission test conducted by Symbiosis International University. It provides admissions to the 4 prestigious Symbiosis Law colleges in Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, and Nagpur. Besides, SLAT comprises 5 sections: Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, and General Knowledge. Furthermore, it consists of 60 questions of 1 mark each. Those who qualified in the SLAT exam had to appear for Written Ability Test. The Institute also conducts Personal Interviews for the candidates who qualify for SLAT.

All India Law Entrance Test or AILET is a law exam conducted by the National Law University Delhi. There is a minimum criterion to apply for AILET. An Aspirant has to clear 10+2 and have secured at least 40 % marks in the examinations. There is a relaxation of 10%, i.e. 30% is the minimum eligibility criteria for category students. Also, 30% of the seats through AILET are reserved for women, including foreign nationals.

The syllabus of AILET 2022 includes English, General Knowledge, and Reasoning. Similarly, The paper of 150 marks comprises 150 questions. Besides, the duration of the paper is 90 minutes. AILET examination is scheduled for 1 May 2022.

Application forms for SLAT and AILET

The application form for AILET started on January 17, 2022. The last date for application forms is 1st April 2022. The application fee for general candidates is 3050 rupees only. However, the fee for category students is 1050 rupees.

For the SLAT examination, the applications started on 24 January 2022. The last date for filling out the application forms is 14 April 2022. The fee for the SLAT examination is 1950 for all candidates.

Application Process for AILET and SLAT

The application process for AILET requires candidates to complete the following steps –

  • Course Selection

Since there are different courses available, The student should choose the correct course and proceed with the application form.

  • Personal Information

Personal details include self as well as family details of the candidates. Accurate details have to be filled in to avoid the form being rejected in the future.

  • Centre Choice & Contact Details

Candidates should choose the nearest centres to avoid any last-minute issues. Furthermore, the candidate’s contact details must be proper without any errors.

  • Academic Details

Academic details have to be filled in this section. Correct academic details should be filled in this section. Academic proofs will be asked during the selection process; hence, this section must be filled in carefully.

  • Photo & Signature

The photo and signature are to be added in this section. The photo and signature image should be in the proper format and size.

  • Fee Payment.

The fee payment section is added at last, where the candidate has to fill the fee based on if they are a category or a general student.

The application process of SLAT is similar to AILET. The student must fill in their details, educational qualification and the desired law program correctly. Furthermore, the last section will be the payment gateway where the application amount of INR 1950/- is paid. The application amount is non-refundable.
